Frédéric Rocher Frédéric Rocher is a French multi-instrumentalist with a broad musical taste. He plays the piano and a wide range of string instruments, amongst which are guitar, bouzouki and mandolin. He also plays the fiddle and low-whistle, and drums. Recently he fell in love with the Nyckelharpa. He also writes and arranges music. Frédéric has played in various bands exploring different styles of music. He is also a sound engineer, has a home recording studio and is teaching music on various instruments.
Suzanne Rocher Suzanne Rocher is a Dutch Singer-Songwriter who has been writing songs since an early age. Her main sources of inspiration are mother nature and Celtic mythology. She has also put a lot of old British and Irish poems onto music. Her strongest musical influences are Celtic and Scandinavian folk and classical music. She has played in various folkgroups and is currently part of the Irish session group Cairdeas. Suzanne sings and plays the hammered dulcimer, piano, Celtic harp and bodhrán.
Maránta Duo In 2001 Suzanne en Frédéric met each other in Dublin, Ireland. Their mutual love for Celtic music brought them together and their talents were a perfect match. Through the years they have build an impressive repertoire in which they focus on the essentials of the music and the beauty of simplicity. Since 2007 they live in the area of Hulst in the Dutch province Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Suzanne en Frédéric are now married and have a daughter, Arwen.
